Who we are
Ahadi Achievers Empowerment (AAE) is an ambitious organization based in Kenya, Makueni County, dedicated to champion community sustainability through empowerment programs, sustainable development goals (SDGs) and equitable development schemes that boost income generating activities both agricultural and social.
“Ahadi” is a swahili word
which means promise.We engage the community through dialogue, social media, sports and
events. In the long run our aim is to solidify local interactions with bordering CBOs, self-help
groups and institutions around Makueni county. As parts of its growth, the organization’s
leadership and management is structured to allow effective implementation of its activities.
Why the Community?
Development in rural communities is very low, with only 10% of projects being implemented to the end. Community empowerment and engagements are paramount to address the issues of deteriorating socioeconomic conditions for minority groups. We seek to do away with the professional language used to solve grassroots problems and use practical approaches. The community of Makueni needs a voice that understands their inner needs. We employ the Community First approach providing a location where community members are able to
deliberate with and influence service providers. Their efforts in activities guarantee development of skills for regenerating partnerships.
AAE harnesses and develops the power of young people, by effectively involving them in direct implementation of the core activities that develop their life skills, enabling them become self-reliant and sustainable.
Our approach
We address the most glaring issues in grassroot levels, which stifle development due to inadequate resources, lack of education and skills. Our mandate is to implement sustainable projects that offer longevity and generational sustainability.
